PASTOR'S BIO

Brother Carl E. Reeves is blessed by God to serve as the Pastor of the Greater Mount Lily Missionary Baptist Church. He is the sixth child of the Late Manuel and the Late Thelma Grier Reeves of Pensacola. Born and reared in Pensacola. Brother Reeves is a product of the Escambia County School District and a blessed graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1980. He is also a graduate of a Historical Black University (Florida A. & M. University, 1985) and an honorably discharged United
States Air Force Veteran (1993).

On the Second Sunday of May in 1996, at the Saint John Divine Missionary Baptist Church, Brother Reeves' heart was pricked by the Spirit of God at which time Brother Reeves surrendered, repented of sin and received Jesus Christ as his "Lord and Savior." As a result of God's grace and mercy upon Brother Reeves, he is now endeavoring to live a life that is "Christ-centered" and pleasing to God. By God's love and through His Spirit

Brother Reeves was taught by Pastor Richard Lee Hines, Jr. and the loving people of the Saint John Divine Church to serve the Lord with gladness. Through the Church's holistic Bible Study, the District Congress, the State Congress, the National Congress, Seminary and Theological Studies at the West Florida Baptist Institute, Brother Reeves has matured as a Servant/Leader and Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. As a result of much prayer to God by Brother Reeves and the Believers in Jesus Christ who are called "the Greater Mount Lily Missionary Baptist Church in Pensacola," God sent Brother Carl Reeves on February 20, 2007, to serve as the Pastor (Overseer, Senior Elder and Bishop) of "one of God's greatest churches." Brother Reeves has been blessed by God to serve in many educational, civic, and community capacities throughout the City of Pensacola, Escambia County and State of Florida. Brother Reeves realizes and states, that, God just keep on blessing me. He is married to Sister Thelma Lee Reeves and
they have a blended family of two sons (Wilmer and Untraey) and two grandchildren (Jalaya and Quajon). If one line could summarize the Pastor of Greater Mount Lily it would be: "Our Brother" who serve as "our Pastor" demonstrate being saved by God, anointed to preach by God, nurtured to teach by God and sold out to live for God - for he knows to live is Christ and to die is gain!
